Liquid Target System

The liquid target serves as the core component for producing positron-emitting isotopes. Currently, the production and supply of medical-grade ¹⁸F are accomplished through cyclotrons equipped with corresponding liquid target systems.

LBT has developed a series of quick-disconnect liquid target, which includes a complete set of liquid target material filling and product transfer systems, enabling the efficient production of multiple medical radionuclides, such as ¹⁸F, ¹³N, and ⁶⁸Ga, while allowing for rapid, low-cost maintenance.

¹⁸F Liquid Target

Adequate supply of ¹⁸F serves as the critical foundation for the clinical application of PET/CT.

LBT offers multi-specification liquid target systems for ¹⁸F production to meet supply demands at various scales. By incorporating advanced target windows and cooling designs, these systems enhance tolerable beam intensity while reducing energy deposition, thereby delivering an improved overall yield of ¹⁸F.

¹³N Liquid Target

¹³N-NH₃ is the gold-standard PET tracer for myocardial perfusion imaging.

To address the production challenge posed by its ultra-short half-life LBT's dedicated ¹³N liquid target system features a low-energy-deposition target window and capability of integrating with rapid synthesis module directly. It enables fully automated, high-yield production—delivering reliable, high-activity ¹³N-NH₃ to support daily cardiac PET scans.

⁶⁸Ga Liquid Target

⁶⁸Ga-labeled tracers are widely used in clinical applications such as neuroendocrine tumor imaging and PSMA and SSTR-targeted cancer detection. However, current mainstream ⁶⁸Ge/⁶⁸Ga generators offer limited yield and high costs, restricting clinical accessibility, while traditional solid targets involve complex processes and often produce excess capacity, making them unsuitable for routine hospital-based, on-demand production.

To address this, LBT introduces the ⁶⁸Ga Liquid Target System. Featuring an efficient liquid target design and an integrated purification. This solution combines flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and reliable operation, providing a precise match for the medium-to-small batch needs of daily clinical diagnostics and research in healthcare institutions—all with lower per-dose cost and a streamlined workflow.
