As nuclear medicine advances toward theranostics, emerging medical isotopes, BNCT, and advanced accelerator technologies, LBT is investing in the next stage of its development with the Phase II Project.
๐ง Construction Update
The project is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
With a total investment of RMB 150 million and a construction area of approximately 8,339 mยฒ, the new facility is currently in the main structural construction phase and will provide dedicated production, assembly, testing, and R&D space.
โ๏ธ Future Capabilities
Phase II will significantly expand LBTโs capabilities in:
โข Medical isotope production using 20โ30 MeV cyclotrons and a petal electron accelerator, supporting isotopes including โดโดSc, โถโดCu, โถโทCu, โธโนZr, ยนยฒโดI, ยฒยนยนAt, ยฒยฒโตAc, and โถโธGe.
โข Medium-energy cyclotron manufacturing, with an annual capacity of 20 cyclotrons, including 8+ units of the 30 MeV platform.
โข BNCT technology development, with a planned production capacity of at least four BNCT systems per year.
